Conklin 3 octave fanned fret 8 string guitar. The body wings are solid Quilt Maple. The neck woods are Maple and Purpleheart. The scale lengths vary from 23.5" on the treble side to 25.5" on the bass side. I'm not sure what string gauges he had on there, but most likely somewhere around a .007 or .008 for the high A down to a .060 or .070 for the low B. The middle strings can be a standard 9-42 or 10-46 set. The guitar also has RMC piezos and a built-in RMC synth module so you can connect to a MIDI converter such as an AXON AX-100 or Roland GI-20 or GR-33.
This guitar was completed in May of 2002.
